Rare tumours
With the financial support of the 'Kom op tegen Kanker', the Belgian Cancer Registry investigated rare tumours in Flanders that resulted in a report.
In addition to a general introduction, detailed methodology, general discussion and conclusion, the report is divided into two main sections.
The first section provides an overview of the incidence, trends and survival rates for all rare tumours in Flanders.
The second section discusses the diagnosis, staging and treatment of eleven selected tumours in more detail.
Technical information related to the selection of the tumours, time frames for treatment and nomenclature codes for the medical procedures are included in the appendixes.
